The Clinical Administrator is responsible for the day-to-day administrative functions of South College Physical Therapy related to Clinical Education. The Clinical Administrator along with the Director of Clinical Education (DCE), coordinates the collecting, maintaining, and reporting of student clinical records and ensures that records compliance and confidentiality are maintained in all administrative processes. The Clinical Administrator is also responsible for managing a variety of documents, databases, and reports for the DCE, Director of Operations, and Program Director.

The Clinical Administrator for the Doctor of Physical Therapy program should possess a bachelor’s degree or have documented equivalent experience in an administrative position in a service-oriented office. The Clinical Administrator Physical Therapy must demonstrate the following knowledge, skill, and ability or be able to explain and demonstrate that the Clinical Administrator can perform the essential functions of the job, with or without reasonable accommodation, using some other combination of knowledge, skill, and ability.

Requirements:

  1. Experience with basic office equipment including printer, copier, and fax.
  2. Computing knowledge, including experience with Microsoft Office (e.g., Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  3. Possess discretion when dealing with highly confidential information.
  4. Demonstrates confidence, discretion, and proficiency in interpersonal and team skills to effectively interact with people at all levels.
  5. Demonstrates attention to detail and excellent decision-making skills in responding to high-pressure situations.
  6. Demonstrates ability to multi-task, prioritize work, and manage competing priorities in a fast-paced, deadline-driven administrative office.
  7. Possess strong oral communication and organizational skills and commitment to best practices.
  8. Develop database, spreadsheet, or word processing documents requiring understanding and proficiency with contemporary software applications and programs.
  9. Perform complex data entry tasks for which there are a variety of formats and procedures.
  10. Possess knowledge of correct business practices, correspondence, and typing formats, including English grammar, composition, spelling, and punctuation.
  11. Ability to read and comprehend regulations, procedures, and policies and apply them to specific situations.
  12. Ability to perform basic arithmetic, such as fractions, decimals, and percentages.
  13. Possess basic knowledge of accounting systems.
  14. Demonstrate knowledge and usage of correct grammar, composition, spelling, and punctuation and produce documents that do not require significant review and editing.
  15. Possess the initiative to act with self-direction and independently to correct and improve operations in Physical Therapy
